Chance The Rapper Performs Worship on The Tonight’s Show

Chicago based artist, Chance The Rapper grew up with a strong church influence and according to our sources (who attend the same church as Chance) he continues to attend services often.  Earlier this year, he made a statement on Twitter that eluded to a life change and it created quite a buzz.

Today’s the last day my old life, last day smoking cigs. Headed to church for help. All things are possible thru Christ who strengthens me. — Lil Chano From 79th (@chancetherapper) January 31, 2016

Recently, he appeared on The Tonight’s Show where he performed his single “Blessings” along with Jamila Woods and Gospel artist Byron Cage which once again created a buzz on social media. In his performance he cited lyrics such as,

“I know the difference between blessings and worldly possessions…” and “He has ordered my steps, gave me a sword with a crest…”

Along with the buzz that has developed in the Christian community from his performance has come a lot of positive replies and promises of prayers for the rapper. …and according to his tweet earlier this year – it sounds like that is exactly what he might have been asking and looking for.

So, with every opinion that comes… and we know they will…throw a prayer on top of it.  After all, we could all use a little prayer these days right?
