SINGLE:  “I Don’t Want To Dance”

From the time Derrick Donaldson learned how to make a beat on his first Yamaha keyboard, he knew that creating music was something he was made to do.  Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Derrick was surrounded by artistic influence.  He learned to appreciate a variety of sounds in his adolescent years from the jazz sounds of Roy Ayers and George Duke to Hip-Hop and Soul influences such as A Tribe Called Quest, D’angelo, and J Dilla.  However, it was his Christian faith and biblical influences which encouraged him to make a commitment to always created music that would positively impact all listeners.

Derrick Donaldson has produced and composed music for artists such as Christal Luster, Treble, and Craig Jackson.  He has also created original theme music and compositions for theatrical productions. He recently released his infectious first single titled “I Don’t Wanna Dance” and is diligently working on new songs to share with the world.”
